New Orleans is a unique place to practice law. Louisiana’s
legal system is founded on Napoleonic codal law, dating
to the period of French ownership of the Louisiana Territory.
New Orleans remains an important port city and maritime
law is integral to the city’s and region’s economy.
For all its draw as a tourist destination, New Orleans is
also a great place to live and raise a family, as well as
practice law.
